Data Sets - Create
1. Navigate to Data Sets
Once logged in to Noviqu, expand the Admin section of the left sidebar, then select Data Sets.

2. Add the new Data Set
Once the data set page has loaded, you will click the "Add New" button in the upper right hand corner of the screen.

Fill out the pertinent information about the new Data Set and click "Create".

3. Specify the Data Set's information
After creating your new data set, you will be presented with a screen that allows you to select what you would like it to contain. This is controlled with fields, relationships and filters. Begin by selecting an entity. This is the main thing you will be reporting on, and will be referred to as the "root entity".

3.1. Fields
Fields are pieces of information associated with an entity. For example, a user has fields such as their name, email address, and phone number. These can be selected from the list on the left by clicking on them, after which they will show up in the "Data Set Fields" section.

Once fields have been added to the data set, they can be dragged up and down to rearrange or removed by clicking them again in the list on the left.

3.2. Relationships
Relationships are ways of including information about other entities that are related to the root entity. For example, we can include the checklists that a user is working on or has finished. Once a relationship has been added to the dataset, you can select fields from the related entity as done before with the root entity.

3.3. Filters
Once you have chosen which fields to include, you can refine your data set using filters. These can be configured in the "Filters" section by first choosing a field from the dropdown, then selecting either "Add Rule" or "Add Group". The selected field does not need to be included in the dataset fields, but if it is from an entity related to the root entity, you must add the relationship first.

Adding a filter as a group allows you to choose whether you want to select entities that match all or any of the grouped criteria.

Note that in this image the rules to filter by are the darker boxes with colored left borders. The dropdowns are only used for adding new rules and will not be applied to your filter until you select "Add Rule".
3.4. Testing your data set
When you are done configuring your data set, you can click "Preview" at the top of the page to show a small selection of the output. This allows you to make sure you have all the fields you want and that your filter is working properly.

Once you have verified that your data set is working as intended, you can click "Publish" then create a report using it.
