Learning / Library - Create Lesson
Lessons are where all of the magic happens in Noviqu! Lessons are pieces of learning that you can assign to people in your organization. Noviqu's lesson builder allows you to completely build out and customize the lesson yourself to best suit your organization's needs. Let's take a look at how to create one!
Heads up! You'll need the "Learning -> Lesson -> Can Create" permission in Noviqu to create lessons. You will not see the Create button if you do not have the correct permissions.
- Head to the library and then click on the Create button in the top right.
- After clicking the Create button, you should be presented with two options. Create a lesson or create a course. Since we're talking about creating a lesson in this article, go ahead and click the Lesson option.
- The lesson creation dialog should now slide out from the right side of the screen. Start by filling out some initial information for the lesson. See below for a quick description of each field.
- Name (required)
- Give your lesson a name!
- Description
- Give your lesson a description, if you'd like!
- NOTE: Only the first 125 characters of a description are shown on the learning cards in the library.
- Give your lesson a description, if you'd like!
- Estimated Time
- If you know around how long it should take to complete this lesson, then you can enter that time here in minutes. This field is only for information purposes and to give users an idea of how long it's going to take them when they start a lesson.
- Categories
- If you have any learning categories setup, you can associate them with the lesson here!
- Public
- Toggling this to Yes means that once this lesson is published, it will be available to anyone in the organization to complete, regardless of whether they are assigned to it.
- Toggling this to No means that only users that are assigned this lesson will be able to complete it.
- Show on Matrix
- Toggling this to Yes means that the lesson will show on the Learning Matrix.
- Show Correct Answers
- Toggling this to Yes means that when a user completes a lesson, they will be able to review their answers as well as be able to see the correct answer(s) for the questions they got wrong.
- Toggling this to No means that when a user completes a lesson, they will be able to review their answers but will not be able to see the correct answer(s) for the questions they got wrong.
- When you're ready, hit that Create Lesson button in the bottom left corner of the dialog and you'll soon be redirected to your newly created lesson!
- After your lesson has been created, you'll be redirected to the new lesson's edit page! If you'd like to know more about what you can see and do on the Lesson Edit page, check out this article!
It's that simple! You now know how to create a new lesson in Noviqu!
